The little patient is resting comfortably..

Howdy friends:
The little patient, Luke did quite well today. As you all know, he had his second set of tubes put in his ears and his adenoids removed. We arrived at the hospital around 8:15am. He colored in his new Nemo coloring book, bought especially for the occasion. The nurse, anethesiologist and Dr. came in to check on him. Dr. Taylor the anesthesiologist was a hit because he had on a buzz lightyear skull cap and carried a "bubble gum" smelling oxygen mask. Luke thought that was awesome. His surgery took roughly 30 minutes. He did have a little bit of a hard time waking up post-op. They told us that was normal. He was confused and at times inconsolable. But, with some Mommy and Daddy (we traded off) TLC he was eating his 4th popsicle in no time. We were home by noon. He slept most of the day and awoke asking to go to the "Feet-sa Flace" (Pizza Place). So, we took him to his favorite place, Peter Piper's Pizza. He got to play games, win lots of tickets and collect his prizes (the boy had 275 tickets accumulated-with a little help from mom and dad). Luke couldn't quite figure out how to get the skee ball to stay in HIS own lane. It was fun. Our boy did great. He's been complaining that his mouth hurts tonight, but it's just where they put the breathing tube down during the surgery. Thank you to all who prayed for him. If you could please pray for my niece, Emery. She's on ear infection #3, with tube's a possibility in the near future as well. What's with our ear's in this family. If you haven't gotten a chance to click on Confessions of a CF Husband please do so now and pray for this dear family. That's it for now.
