Lucky 13...

Well...to all of you who know about the car troubles we've been having with our Expedition, you'll be happy to know we traded it in today. Not only are my days of shorted out spark plugs, and cylinder coils over, the gas-guzzling just went WAY DOWN too.

We bought a 2006 Honda Accord. I can hardly wait to get over 14 mpg. on a vehicle. We needed something with a warranty and this car is practically new, with only 16K miles on it. Wahoo!

So, as much as I hated to say goodbye to our faithful (until last week) Ford Expedition, I won't miss filling you up with gas. You were a faithful "road tripping" vehicle. You've made 2 trips to KY and one to CO. But, we had to let you go. You were breaking down and had 91K miles. We'll miss you, but you've been replaced.

Hopefully car #13 (that's how many we've bought since we've been together-for those of you counting) will be a bit more efficient than car #12 was. If it's not, I'm sure in a couple years we'll be on to car #14....do you see a pattern here?

Santa will have to bring Luke a portable DVD player for the car now---maybe this would be a good idea for Nana & Poppa

Congrats on the new car! New Cars are great! I'm pretty sure in a few months I will be getting a new car, too! My Lumina is 10 years old...the last repair cost $1100...not doing that again!
Congrats again on the new car! ROAD TRIP!

Hey...I have tons of girl clothes if your sister wants them.
Is she coming down anytime during the holiday?
Let me know...what size?

Dana--I'm going up to KY for Thanksgiving. She'll be here in Feb....What do you think we should do. I don't think we'd have room in our new car for boxes of clothes....

Yeah you for getting a non-gas-guzzler!!! Unfortunately for me, we need a 4 wheel drive here in Iowa for the snowstorms. Looks like I am stuck with the Trailblazer for a while!
