Can't sleep....So I'll pray for my friend's battling cancer.

My all too usual insomnia has kicked in AGAIN! I was laying in bed trying to count sheep to return back to my slumber after bathroom run #1. My mind kept wandering back to all my friends who are currently battling cancer and those who are in remission. I feel that the Lord wants me to pray for them right now. So, if you are reading this and you are a prayer warrior you can pray by name for my friends as well.

Dear Jesus-I come to you tonight/this morning. On behalf of all of my friends who are currently battling cancer in one form or another. I pray that you will give them strength and courage to fight the battle that lies before them. I do not understand why this dreaded disease has invaded their bodies, however I know you are sovereign and just in your ways. I stand in faith that if it is your will for healing for my friends that you will act accordingly. What a strain this illness is on not only those stricken with cancer, but also their family and friends who are there day in and day out through, chemo and radiation treatments and their horrible side effects. I ask for your blessing on the lives of my sweet friends listed above. I ask that you send guardian angels to protect them while their immune systems are compromised because of treatment. I pray that you will give their bodies renewed strength every morning and that they will feel your presence. Place a hedge of protection around them as they go too and from Dr'.s appts. and are poked and prodded on a daily/weekly basis. I pray that funding for research can be raised so that all forms of cancer and other dreaded diseases can be irradicated one day. There is so many advancements in medicine that I know this is possible. May there be a day very soon where people don't have to lose loved one's to this cancer monster. I thank you for promising us that you are able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughtout all ages, world without end. Ephesians 3:20-21 KJV.

I also want to say thank you for healing my friends who are in remission. You have done a mighty work in their lives. I pray that they stay cancer free FOREVER.

We love you Lord and know that you love your precious children. Thank you for choosing us to carry out your mission of love to a lost and dying world. We need you to sustain us and keep our paths straight. We love you Jesus. Amen.

If any of my friends cross your mind as you go about your day, please whisper a quick prayer for them. The more the better.

I'm going to TRY to go back to bed now. Night, night. Or should I say: Morning, morning!

Heather,
Thank you for sharing with us. I am confident that God will hear and answer your prayers for healing of these friends who have cancer.

We look forward to reading your daily blog and hearing about Little Luke, who is getting less little every day.

Hi Heather. Thank you for praying for my Aunt Phyllis. She is receiving Hospice Care right now to control her pain and is able to live more of a normal life because of it. My mom and I are planning to go and see her in Florida later this year.
Take care and thanks for all you do.
Dawn

Heather - thanks for the reminder of how blessed we are with our health. I was knocked down for 24 hours with a stomach flu this weekend and I forgot how miserable it is to not feel well. I cannot imagine being knocked down with something more.

Thank you for your prayers for these people and I too pray for their healing and their comfort.
