Today after church we headed down to Canton (Martin's Mill, TX) where family has a place in the "sticks". It's commonly referred to as, "The Ponderosa". Which translated means... double-wide on 23 acres. It's a nice little quaint place to retreat to when city life gets too fast-paced.
It has John Deere tractors, John Deere gators, Old tractors, trucks, ponds, deer stands, trees, roadrunner's, an 8x8 ft. pool, and lots of rocking chairs on the porch. You can listen to the birds chirp or spend your afternoon shewing away "DOG", the neighbor's dog who likes to hang out on the porch with us. She's a nice dog, but doesn't listen when you say, "Go Away".
The boys spent their afternoon swimming...actually they just splashed water on each other and themselves. Oh, and Luke decided to go skinny dipping by himself. Don't worry Poppa, there are no "ding" pictures. Then they decided to put their tools to use and "help" build the deer stands that Jason and Jeff had just built. I took a few pic's while we were down there that I thought I'd share with ya. They were too cute with their little wrenches and screw drivers...
Hope everyone has a fun, safe Labor Day weekend!

Heather, it looks like you're having a good time with that new camera! Great pix! The boys are so cute. I love that last one of Amber and Beau. She should enlarge that one and frame it! Beau and my grandson, Ethan, need to get together and compare blue eyes and lashes. They're going to break a lot of hearts one day!
Awwww...look at those boys. Looks like they are really from the country. That's exactly what us country folk do on a lazy afternoon. Sit in rocking chairs and watch the kids play in the pool. Looks like "ya'll" had a great time.
