My little raisin eater..Papa Murphy...My buddy Tanner
My little raisin-eater got a haircut today. It looks so cute.
He's quite the handsome fella these days if I may say so myself.
We're having so much fun with Aunt Brooke and cuzzin Emery. Luke is so cute with her. He tried to get her to "play trains" with him and he rocks her in the carrier. He even gave her the mail to look at. It's so precious.
We're trying out a new pizza place tonight called Papa Murphy's you take and bake at home picking out your own ingredients...Will let ya know how it tastes! Tah tah for now.
Update....Papa Murphy's rocked. It was the best pizza ever. My buddy Tanner and his mommy Peggy came over tonight to share it with me. We played ball in the back yard and had a fun time.

My cuzzin turns 2...
Yesterday we had my cuzzin Beau's 2nd bday party. It was so much fun. We got to sit at his new picnic table that his BB gave him. I gave my hotdog to Roscoe and Beau let Dusty lick his fork. We figured the dogs needed to enjoy the party too.
Then it was time to open the presents. You know Beau couldn't do it without me. I had already opened the gift we brought twice before we even got to the party. I got him a "Pomas" (Thomas) the train set like mine. He loved it. In fact, he's as possessive of his engines as I am of mine. Poppa and Nana got him a turtle sandbox. We had fun hiding under the turtle's shell and busting out of it saying, "Here we are".
Oh to be 2 again. Oh wait, I am 2. He and I are the same age for exactly 2 mos. then he'll be coming to my bday party. I'll be 3 this year. I sure hope I get a cool picnic table and sandbox like his for my bday. Grandparents, that's a hint! A subtle one don't you think???
Well, I love my cuzzin Beau. He's my best buddy. He likes to follow me around and do all the things I do. We love to play instruments and sing too. We had a family sing-a-long after the party was over. Each person got their own instrument to play compliments of Beau.
Happy Birthday Beau, I love you!

Hip Hip Hooray....
Aunt Brooke and Emery are coming today!!!
I can't wait to meet my cousin. Mommy keeps saying she wants to kiss her cheeks off. Personally, I think she might look kinda funny without cheeks but what do I know I'm only 2.
Aunt Brooke is flying in an "airpwane" from KY. She's bringing baby with her.
I'm so excited I can hardly wait to have a playmate for 11 days.
Later taters.

Mother's Day 2007
Happy Mother's Day to all of you near and far. Jason and I feel so blessed to have such great mother's. To Carolyn-Thank you for raising such a responsible loving son. I'm forever grateful for all you did to shape Jason into the person he is today. To mom, thanks so much for all your sacrifices over the years. You'll never know how much you mean to me. To Brooke--I'm so proud of you and glad that you are a mommy now. Emery is so lucky. Isn't it just the best job in the whole wide world.
Happy Mother's Day mom's.

Spaghetti makes me big & strong...
We told Luke tonight that if he ate his peas and spaghetti that he'd be big and strong like Grandee because she eats her peas and spaghetti.
So, he decided that he would show us what he'd look like big and strong with the hand motions.
He kept saying, "Big and Stwong". Too cute!
It was funny watching him slurp the noodles down. That's been our fun for the day.

Redneck-ville???

Ok, I just had to tell ya'll something I saw today on Hwy 380 as I left the bank.
I swear it makes me think I live in Redneck-ville, KY. I'm sorry did I just say that out loud? Sorry Sis.
I was at the stop light behind a Chevy truck with a trailer ball hitch. "Biting down" on the trailer ball hitch was a fake fish about a foot long. When the driver stepped on his brakes the fishes tail would wag back and forth like those talking "Billy BigMouth Bass" mounted plaques that were all the rage a few Christmases ago.
I thought holy hannibal who on earth would waste money on one of these. They MUST be from KY.

Pony up....

Well...for those of you keeping track (and you know who you are) it's official we now own our 12th car in 10 years of marriage. My husband seems to be going through a midlife crisis a little earlier than most.He has been looking for a Mustang for a while now and he finally got his pony today. It's a pre-owned 2003 Mustang GT convertible.
It is sweeeeeeet if I might say so myself. It's a blast to drive. You should have seen Mom and I driving down the Tollway with the top down today. We definitely got the looks. Even Luke looked cute with his little car seat in the back. He said the wind "kickeled" (tickled).
Anyway, let's hope that the Jason steers clear of the local PO-lice and the Highway Patrol, as I'm sure the usual drivers of these cars are punk teenagers looking for trouble.
Although, I do have to say Jason does have a long lineage with Mustangs, as this is his 4th one since he was 18. Stay off the sidewalks....here he comes!!! I love ya honey.

HUGE PET PEEVE....
Ok, I'm going to rant. I was sitting in a waiting room tonight waiting for my market research study to start. I could have smacked the lady sitting directly beside me. Why??? you ask?
SHE WAS CHEWING ON ICE!!!! Ugh, I seriously contemplated telling her how rude she was by disrupting the peace. There were a good 20 people in this room who were being subjected to her RUDE, annoying, chewing action. She chewed a whole solo cup of ice for a good 20 minutes.
Therefore, I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE CHEW ICE. Ugh! It's my official pet peeve. That and people with dirty fingernails and bad shoes. What are some of YOUR pet peeves.
That's all for now. I just had to vent a little bit.
Thanks for listening.

Lightening...
Luke and I were sitting on the porch rocking in the rocking chairs Wed. night before the big storms hit. It was thundering and lightening and I wanted to sit out there with him to explain about thunder and lightening so that he isn't afraid. (he never has been so far)
Anyway...the lightening would flash in the sky and I would say, "Hey Luke did you see that lightening in the sky"? His reply, (brace yourself for a laugh because this is funny) he said, "I saw it mommy I saw McQueen". If you're familiar with the CARS movie the famous racecar is named Lightening McQueen. So, that is how he tied it together. Too cute huh!
Then, when it started to sprinkle outside and we were feeling the rain drops he looked at me pointed to his nose and said, "My boogers are getting wet Momma". I laughed so hard.
He's really fun at this age. He's starting to put words and objects together and sometimes it's just a hoot how he ties things together.
Here's another funny from today. We went to Walmart and he was holding the "Spiderman Yogurt" (has Spidey on the container) well he placed it on top of something else that was already sticking out of the basket and the yogurt toppled out of the basket onto the floor. Blueberry yogurt went everywhere. I just kept on walking. Luke says, "Bye Spiderman yogurt, see ya waiter(later)".
Happy Friday.
